The Tulane basketball team will get an opportunity for a new beginning on Friday, but it will be facing another daunting task along the way.
The Green Wave kick off the 2016-17 regular season on Friday against the No. 6-ranked North Carolina at the Smoothie King Center in Mike Dunleavy's first game since taking over the head coaching duties at Tulane.
Dunleavy said Friday's game will be a big test for his team, but it will be a great opportunity for them to display their growth in the first-year coach's new system with a large portion of the college basketball world watching.
